Planner Buyer

Postion:

A Planner / Buyer is responsible for identifying which media channels sit most appropriately within media briefs across their client portfolio, which will include some of the countries biggest media accounts. You will develop media plans and buy campaigns that are fully integrated with those devised by the traditional account teams and work where appropriate with the digital team. Therefore communication and a working knowledge of all media is a prerequisite.

A client facing individual looking for a new challenge, with 1-3 years media agency experience or equivalent is sought for this role. You’ll have an inquisitive mind, be full of enthusiasm and confidence with the ability to excite colleagues and clients alike.

Experience:

• An interest in and a thorough knowledge of all media opportunities.
• A team player with excellent communication skills.
• An ability to be proactive, multi-task and manage time effectively.
• A clear and concise style of writing with confident, persuasive presentation skills.
• Numerical and analytical skills.
• Computer literate.

The Role:

• Identifying communications opportunities from media briefs.
• Developing media strategies.
• Undertaking media buying negotiations and bookings.
• Co-ordination with online buyers to ensure optimum delivery.
• Management and optimisation of campaigns.
• Measuring, analysing and reporting on campaign successes and effectiveness.
• Regular client contact.
• Adhere to MediaCom Real World Communication (RWC) platforms.
• Conducting industry/competitor research and communicating findings.
• Building relationships with media owners.
• Keeping abreast of the traditional and digital marketplaces and key developments within each sector.
• Weekly time sheets
